How to find us

The Centre for Internationalisation and Parallel Language Use is located at the Faculty of Humanities (South Campus) at the University of Copenhagen, Emil Holms Kanal 4 on Amager. The Centre is located in building 23, on the fourth floor. 

Transport

By car

Guests can use the parking ground next to building 23 (see map to the right on this page). The parking ground can only be accessed via Rued Langgaards Vej (a byway to Amagerfælledvej). On Rued Langgaards Vej, turn right through the first gate on the right hand and continue through the gate to the parking ground. 

Please contact CIP before your visit in order for us to prepare a parking license for you. You can collect the parking license in the administration before the course begins.

Building 23 can be accessed from the parking ground through the glass hall doors marked "KUA 1 Bygning 23". Once in building 23, you can use the staircase on your right had to get to the 4th floor or you can walk to the left through the canteen to the elevator.

The CIP administration is located in room 23.4.17.
The teaching and meeting rooms are located in 23.4.05 and 23.4.06. Please follow the signs when leaving the elevator/the staircase. 

By bus

Bus number 12 (from Vesterport Station and the city hall square), or number 33 (from the city hall square). From the bus stop on Njalsgade the Centre is only a 3 minute walk away. Follow Njalsgade all the way up to Emil Holms Kanal. Follow Emil Holms Kanal until you reach building 23.
Bus number 5C towards Københavns Lufthavn, Kastrup (the airport)/Sundbyvester Plads (from Nørreport Station and Copenhagen Central Station), and bus number 5C towards Herlev Hospital/Husum Torv (from Copenhagen Airport). From the 5C bus stop Amager Boulevard/Amager Fælledvej, the Centre is a 10 minute walk away. Follow Amager Fælledvej to Njalsgade. Walk up Njalsgade to Emil Holms Kanal and follow Emil Holms Kanal until you reach building 23.

By metro

The Copenhagen Metro consist of four separat metro lines, M1-M4.

You can take the line M1 to Islands Brygge Station or DR Byen. From the station you have a five minute walk to the Centre. Find more information on the map to the right. Follow Emil Holms Kanal until you reach building 23. 

From Noerreport: take Metro M1 towards Vestamager.
From Kastrup Airport: take Metro M2 towards Vanløse, get off at Christianshavn and take Metro M1 towards Vestamager.
From Copenhagen Central station: take M3 to Kongens Nytorv and change for M1 to Vestamager.
From Nordhavn: take M4 to Kongens Nytorv and change for M1 to Vestamager.

By bicycle

From the city, follow Njalsgade until you reach Emil Holms Kanal. Follow Emil Holms Kanal until you reach building 23 and park your bike in the bicycle parking racks outside building 23.
