German reading course

In autumn 2023, CIP offers a free "reading course in German for students of the humanities" for all interested students who would like to be better equipped to read texts in German in connection with their studies.

The purpose of the reading course is to introduce students to German grammar for reading and to practice reading texts (excerpts) used in the courses.

The course has been developed in collaboration with lecturers from SAXO, NORS, IKK and KOMM, but all students across the Faculty of Humanities are welcome to participate.

The overall course consists of an introductory lecture, two grammar workshops and a workshop focusing on reading textbooks/reference books. There are also a number of open study cafés where students submit texts that they would like to be able to read in connection with their teaching or need to use in an exam.

This workshop has been developed based on a first pilot test in the spring of 2023 and is just one of many initiatives focusing on German and French as additional competences, which CIP is developing and implementing on the basis of funds for lifting
