Reflections and experiences from the international classroom

The teaching experience

Reflectiodecorativens and Teaching Experiences from the International Classroom was published in the autumn of 2015. The booklet consists of 13 narratives written by lecturers associated with the University of Copenhagen (UCPH). With narratives representing all six faculties at UCPH, the booklet gives an interesting insight into the lecturer’s experiences with the international learning environment at UCPH.

The learning experience

decorativeReflections and learning experiences from the international classroom is now available online and in print. This publication looks at the international classroom from the learner’s perspective. With 14 narratives from students, representing all six faculties at UCPH the booklet lends insight into how students perceive the international classroom in a UCPH context.

Background

Both publications spring from the strategic initiative Internationalisation and Language Skills under which the subproject Educational practice in the international classroom has  explored how we can effectively address some of the central opportunities and challenges of ‘the international classroom’ from an educational perspective. The idea for the first publication grew from contact with the lecturers involved with the project. In light of the success of the first publication the lecturer perspective was supplemented by a student perspective in the second publication.
