'Let's dansk!' at your workplace

CIP's resource site suggests a number of activities and tools to give you inspiration on how to bring Danish into focus at your workplace.

Presentations, workshops and after-work meetings

CIP can set up short inspirational meetings, presentations and workshops with a focus on Danish in a parallel language work context. Among other things, we can tell you about the campaign 'Let's dansk!' from 2010 and which tools you can use to promote Danish in your everyday work. The focus will be on the specific situation at your workplace and your needs and wishes with regards to themes, but we are also willing to give advice and answer more general questions about linguistic practices in a parallel language university context. CIP charges a fee for meetings, presentations and workshops.

Parallel language posters: Translate together with your colleague

CIP's parallel language posters provide a specific tool to make the practice of parallel language use at work easier. Danish learning colleagues can write words and phrases in English (or other languages) they would like to know in Danish, and Danish speaking colleagues can translate the text into Danish.

The idea with the posters is to shed light on the fact that the University of Copenhagen is a workplace practicing parallel language use, and to make this policy of parallel language use more visible.

Language Buddies

Finding a language buddy makes it possible to practise Danish as well as English at work in an informal way.
