The courses in Danish language and culture will take place on the University of Copenhagen from 3rd - 21st August 2020. Interested applicants have to fill out and send in an application form and meet certain admission criteria.
The course, run by CIP, is open to a maximum of 15 students. If there are more than 15 qualified applicants, there will be a waiting list.

Please note: you may choose only one course provider as your first choice. Applicants who choose several providers as their first choice will not be offered a scholarship.
Criteria for the application
Only students who are enrolled in full-degree programmes in institutions of higher education in one of the participating countries are eligible to apply. It is NOT possible to apply if you are enrolled as a full-degree student or exchange student at a Danish higher education institution at the time of application.
Applications will be given priority according to the following criteria:
- Applicants who are nominated by a Danish lecturer in their home country.
- Applicants studying Danish or Scandinavian languages and literature outside of Denmark.
- Applicants who are due to start an Erasmus+ stay in Denmark immediately following the Danish Summer Language Course.
Furthermore, it will be viewed positively if an applicant intends to use the summer course as preparation for future enrollment at a higher education institution in Denmark. Finally, a well-written and relevant motivation letter in Danish will also form part of the assessment.
Please note that participation on CIP’s Summer Language Course requires a Danish proficiency level aimed at B2 on the CEFR scale. CIP will send out a questionnaire regarding Danish language competences to all qualified applicants. The questionnaire answers will also form part of the assessment for a place on the course.
