Free workshop: Describe your work and research in Danish
Would you like to be able to communicate your work tasks and research to different target groups in Danish?
If so, you may want to consider attending CIP’s free workshop.
In this 2-hour intensive workshop, you will be introduced to vocabulary for describing your work tasks, e.g. verb phrases such as ’planlægge møder’, ’organisere konferencer’, ’udføre forsøg’, and ’håndtere henvendelser’.
Through roleplay activities in small groups, you will practise describing work tasks, work-related activities and research projects focusing on explaining, elaborating on, and giving examples of your work. You will practise different registers depending on your target group communicating about your work to different target groups in Danish, e.g. a new colleague within your work area, a Danish mother-in-law, or a journalist.
Drawing on each other’s experiences, we will identify tips, tools and strategies that might make it easier for you to describe your work in Danish.
The workshop will feature a mixture of teacher explanations, participant input and roleplay, and participants will be given the opportunity to try out their new skills and know-how via hands-on practical exercises.
Who will benefit from this workshop:
International staff at UCPH who would like to practise describing their work and research in Danish to different target groups. The workshop is designed for both academic staff as well as technical and administrative staff, who already have a basic proficiency in Danish.
