Visit from CLA

Visit from Centro linguistico di Ateneo, University of Padua

Gillian Davies from Centro linguistico di Ateneo (CLA) at the University of Padua visited CIP in week 37. Gillian was here on an Erasmus staff exchange agreement for five days. At CLA Gillian works with language teaching in particular academic English. In that connection, Gillian teaches an academic English course for PhD students and assists university lecturers with strengthening their English language use for teaching.

Gillian was quite interested in hearing more about the activities we work on at CIP. The week consisted of talks with language instructors and the administration at CIP, classroom observation and a presentation of the activities, the structure and the role of CLA at the University of Padua. The visit was quite fruitful for both parties. It was the second visit from CLA at CIP this year.  When the opportunity is there CIP and CLA will keep in contact and share inspiration for courses and other language related activities.
