Report on language learning in the workplace
Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) has published a comprehensive report on language learning in the workplace in the Nordic countries. The report examines previous experiences with language support measures in Danish workplaces. The report also aims to provide a systematic insight into the existing knowledge of how foreigners can acquire languages in a work context. It provides practical and experience-based knowledge on how various language support measures in workplaces can be implemented and adapted to promote language learning.
The content of the report is based on research, practical knowledge, as well as reflections from professionals and companies that have experience with designing language support measures for employees with a different native language than that used in the workplace. The report is authored by Marta Kirilova (UCPH) and Louise Tranekjær (RUC). Anne Holmen (CIP-KU) and Michael Svendsen Pedersen (RUC) have also contributed as co-authors to parts of the report.
