More Danish for international employees at UCPH
CIP will offer a free Danish workshop every semester for international employees. This initiative is part of CIP's work to implement UCPH's language policy. In this way, CIP wants to contribute to enhancing the international employees' network and well-being at UCPH by supporting them to use Danish at work.
CIP has just held the first workshop "Danish for meetings" where 20 international UCPH employees participated. The workshop focused on typical meeting vocabulary and practiced different meeting situations to help international employees participate more actively in meetings in Danish.
Due to the great interest in the workshop 'Danish for meetings, it will be held again on 13 June 2025. Read more about the workshop here.
The workshop participants were particularly pleased with the opportunity to practice authentic meeting situations in Danish in a safe atmosphere:
The practice of "real" meeting situations. The pre-prepared roles and materials. The mix of people from all over the university. It was a safe space to speak Danish without pressure.
Useful, rich materials with useful phrases. Also, nice touch with some humour. We had plenty of time to discuss and practice. Great teachers, good structure, and great atmosphere.
More workshops will soon be announced, and you can always find the latest overview on CIP's website under events. In addition, CIP offers tailor-made Danish courses every semester for employees at UCPH.
International Staff Mobility (ISM) has highlighted CIP's Danish courses in their newsletter, where you can read more about the content of CIP's customized language courses at UCPH. Read the article about CIP in the ISM newsletter.
