FOCUS: Skills Development

Individual Presentation Courses 

CIP offers skills development for staff at the University of Copenhagen. This also includes activities with focus presentation techniques for both administrative staff (TAP) and academic staff (VIP).

At the Presentation Consulting you have the chance to work with your language, your slides and your presentation technique. We recommend that the consultation is linked to an imminent presentation.

Scheduled courses for administrative staff

CIP offers a number of scheduled language courses for administrative staff.

In the spring of 2020, we have planned to run our popular nine-lesson workshops Write Right and English Grammar Workshop. We also offer longer courses targeted accounts staff and study administration staff.

Free event: Punctuation Workshop
Control your Commas: Mastering English Punctuation

CIP welcomes all University of Copenhagen staff at our free English punctuation workshop.

5 December 2019, from 9:00 to 11:00 You have the chance to learn more about commas, semi-colons, colons and the use of apostrophes in English. If you have any other questions about English punctuation, our Academic language consultants Nina Rasmussen and Pete Westbrook are ready to answer at the workshop.
We offer coffee, tea and a snack.
Registration is required.

Merit Award to Anne Holmen from Einar Hansen's research foundation

14 November 2019, CIP's director Anne Holmen is going to receive the merit award from Einar Hansen's research foundation. The award is given for a long-standing and significant research effort in the field of foreign language learning across educational levels.

EUROCALL conference to Copenhagen

In August 2020, CIP and the University of Copenhagen is hosting the international conference EUROCALL 2020. The theme is CALL for Widening Participation. The conference will take place on South Campus from 19 Aug to 22 Aug 2020.
The conference is held in collaboration with the European Association of Computer assisted Language Learning (EUROCALL)

Supplementary training of Danish as a second language teachers

In the period 2018-2020, CIP has won the bid to take care of the administration of courses and conferences under the supplementary training pool for Danish as the Second language area. The pool is managed by the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI).
