New English Courses and Workshops for Staff

We continuously develop CIP’s English course offerings for staff at UCPH to ensure that they meet the needs we have identified in the organisation. In 2026, we are therefore introducing new English courses and workshops with a focus on presentation skills and pronunciation

Sophie Swerts Knudsen has previously held a free lecture on presentation skills in English, which attracted considerable interest. Based on the positive feedback, we are now offering the course “Present with Confidence: from Structure to Delivery”. This course enables participants to explore presentation techniques in depth and to develop and refine their own presentations in English. It aims to strengthen participants’ ability to structure a presentation clearly, deliver it with confidence, and keep an audience engaged.

In addition, we are offering both a short workshop and a longer course in English pronunciation, which is developed by Nina Nellemann Rasmussen. Clear and intelligible pronunciation plays a key role in effective communication, and both the workshop and the course focus on core features of English pronunciation that have the strongest effect on clarity and intelligibility. The workshop offers a practical, awareness-raising introduction to English pronunciation. The course allows participants to work more on their own English pronunciation. Over the duration of the course, participants will develop greater awareness of their own pronunciation patterns and build practical strategies for improving clarity and intelligibility.

Overall, the new course offerings give employees the opportunity to improve their language skills and increase their confidence in their day-to-day communication in English.
