Courses for staff

CIP offers courses in Danish and English for all employees at UCPH. We have a wealth of experience in delivering courses that are tailored to the individual participants’ needs and wants, whether they be administrative or academic staff. Prior to every course, we carry out a thorough needs analysis. This ensures that we can offer courses that are based on your specific work situation and language level.

You can either register for our scheduled courses or get a quote for a tailor-made course.

Please note that CIP's courses attract a fee, and you therefore need approval from your manager before you can register.

Scheduled courses

CIP offers a number of scheduled Danish and English courses for small groups.

These courses cover several different skills areas and are primarily aimed at academic or technical and administrative staff. The courses range from specific courses like English for HR staff to more general courses that focus on areas such as English grammar or conversation Danish at different levels.

Each course normally consists of 4-5 sessions scheduled on specific dates and held at our premises on South Campus.

Tailor-made courses

CIP also offers tailor-made courses in Danish and English for individual course participants or for smaller groups, e.g. for a group of employees from the same section or department.

These courses cover subject areas and topics of direct relevance for you and include specific exercises, e.g. in grammar, vocabulary or pronunciation as required. Simply let us know what your needs and wants are, and we will tailor the course for you.

These courses are held either at your place of work or in CIP's classrooms on South Campus. The number of lessons and the dates and times for the course are planned by mutual agreement.

Language services

CIP offers the following services to all faculties at the University of Copenhagen:

  • Proofreading and editing of academic texts in English and Danish
  • Translation from Danish to English

We have extensive experience in proofreading academic articles, PhD theses, etc. We can correct linguistic errors and resolve ambiguities so that your message comes across clear, cohesive and coherent.In addition, we can translate a wide range of texts from Danish to English, including guidelines, questionnaires and much more.

Danish courses

CIP is a competent partner when it comes to developing skills for academic communication. CIP is ready to provide a tailored and targeted course that covers writing, oral practice, subject-specific terminology and general academic language use in the desired and relevant combination.

English courses

As a staff member in an international workplace, it is necessary to be able to work efficiently and with a high degree of linguistic correctness. CIP provides the language course that supports your professional language skills development and provides you with the language tools you need to communicate clearly and confidently.

CIP is happy to provide courses with tailor-made content for partners outside UCPH. Whether you are looking for a Danish or English language skills development and whether the focus is on written or oral literacy, we are ready to develop a suggestion for a course model and give you an offer or a course.
