Tailor-made courses and workshops

CIP offers several tailor-made courses for students at UCPH. These could include, for example, courses that better equip students to receive English-medium instruction, or make presentations or take exams in English.

If you or your department are interested in a tailor-made language training course, you are welcome to contact us for a quote. We are also happy to hold a non-binding meeting with you to talk about your students’ language competence development needs. Prior to all our tailor-made courses, we send out a needs analysis questionnaire, which includes a self-assessment of participants’ language level, in order to plan the course so that it meets your needs and wants as closely as possible.

Below you can see some examples of tailor-made courses for students:

Academic Danish for students with Danish as a second language

The purpose of the course is to improve Danish academic language skills for students whose first language is not Danish. This improves students’ learning outcomes and makes it easier for them to study in a Danish context.

Course in presentation techniques in English

The purpose of the course is to improve students' presentation skills when presenting their projects in English. The course focuses on what to be particularly aware of when giving a presentation in a language other than Danish (in this case English) and equips students with useful tools and techniques for improving their presentation technique. In addition, the course helps students to become more confident in working in English, raises their awareness of their own linguistic challenges, and includes individual feedback and recommendations for improvement.

German and French as supplementary skills

The aim of these courses is to give students the skills to acquire knowledge from sources written in languages other than Danish and English. This requires, for example, knowledge of basic grammar for reading purposes. In some cases, the course also focuses on students being able to communicate in the target language within their own academic field, or for a specific purpose, e.g. as part of a stay abroad.
