Tailor-made courses and workshops

CIP offers tailor-made courses for students at UCPH. This includes courses aimed at improving the students' English for learning, giving presentations and taking exams in English. If you or your department are interested in hearing more about the possibilities for tailor-made language training, you are very welcome to contact us for an offer. We are also ready to have an informal meeting with your department if you need some help to clarify what kind of language skills development is relevant. All of our tailor-made courses also include a preliminary needs analysis and level determination prior to the start of the course.

Examples of tailor-made courses

Below are a couple of examples of tailor-made courses for students:

Academic Danish for students with Danish as a second language

The aim of the course is to improve students with Danish as a second language’s proficiency in Danish in order to make it easier to study and improve the academic outcomes of their studies.

Course in presentation techniques in English

The purpose of the course is to improve the students' ability to present projects in English. The course focuses on what you should be particularly aware of when you present in English and provide the students with a number of tools to strengthen their presentations. In addition, the course helps students to become more confident in working in English and to become aware of some individual linguistic problems, which they will also get recommendations for how to rectify them.

Introductory course: Diagnosis of English-language needs and preparation for English Medium Instruction courses

The purpose of the course is to diagnose the students' English language needs and prepare them for EMI courses. The aim is to attract more Danish students to English-language graduate programmes, while at the same time ensuring that the students' learning outcomes are increased and the risk of delay and dropout decreases.
