Participate in CIP research
CIP is always interested in having bachelor's, master's and PhD students affiliated with the Centre. Similarly, CIP is more than happy to take on advisory and/or consultancy roles in research and evaluation projects at departments and research units across UCPH that are intending to take a critical look at their own language practice.
Therefore, you are welcome to contact CIP if you are interested in doing a project involving one of CIP’s research areas.
Below, you can find a brief description of a number of projects from students who have carried out research affiliated with CIP, and where the supervisor in many instances has also been employed at the Centre.
Examples of previous or ongoing projects:
- Master's thesis by Camilla Falk Rønne (2015): A parallel linguistic reality – an ethnographic study of language use patterns in two courses offered in English at the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Health, University of Copenhagen.
- Master's thesis by Stine Myssing Odgaard (2014): “It's not language you can just pick up from the street" – a study of the need for courses in academic Danish for students with Danish as a second language at the Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies at the University of Copenhagen.
- Master's thesis by Katja Åraisin Laursen (2013): “It's all about language - even when you don't notice it." An empirical study of linguistic and academic difficulties experienced by pharmaceutical students with Danish as a second language at the University of Copenhagen.
- Master’s thesis by Lotte Eggert Kiil (2010): Danish University Students' Use of Code-Switching During English-Medium Instruction - A case study of two English-medium courses at The Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Copenhagen.
